Warf 5 mg is an oral anticoagulant, a drug that stops the blood clotting process. It contains the active ingredient Warfarin, a blood thinner drug that is a vital part of prevention and treatment of heart attacks, strokes, and blood clots in veins and arteries. It is employed in coagulation disorders. Coagulation is a process that results in blood cessation from a damaged vessel, along with repairs. It is a natural inherent bleeding cessation process; if it is interrupted, uncontrolled bleeding can occur, resulting in haemorrhage or bruising. Warfarin is a blood-thinning drug that prevents clot formation in heart vessels such as veins, arteries, and veins. It thins your blood and limits your blood’s ability to clot. It can cause serious bleeding, which can be life-threatening. Your doctor may perform regular blood tests to monitor your condition. Do not start any other prescription treatment or herbal product unless your doctor advises you. Inform your doctor if you have signs or symptoms of bleeding.

Warf 5 mg can be taken with or without food once daily. The dose intake depends upon your condition. Dose adjustments are made after watching your response to the medicine from time to time. Always take medicine as per the doctor’s prescription. If you overdose, immediately consult with your concerned doctor. Take medical help as soon as possible if you encounter excessive bleeding.

You should not take Warfarin if you are allergic to Warfarin, have blood cell disorders, hypertension, are above 65 years of age, or suffer from connective tissue disorders such as Marfan Syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. lupus. Do not take Warf 5 mg if you have stomach or internal bleeding, liver disease, are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Warf tablets can interact with other medicines, vitamins or herbal treatments you may be taking. Therefore, to avoid interactions, it is important to inform your doctor of all the medicines you have been using. This way, your doctor will be able to manage all your medications carefully. Be sure to tell your doctor even if your over the counter drugs. Examples of drugs that can cause interactions with Warfarin are anticoagulants, antiplatelets, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), antidepressants, antibiotics, and antifungals.

The more common side effects of Warf 5 mg are related to abnormal bleeding. Possible side effects of the blood thinner include unusual bruising, bleeding gums, nosebleeds, pink or brown urine, bleeding from cuts that take a long time to stop, heavier than normal menstrual bleeding, black stools, vomiting blood, or coughing blood. If you experience serious side effects, call your doctor immediately if you get symptoms of death of skin tissue such as pain, colour, or temperature change in any area of your body or if you experience pain and purple or dark color in your toes.
