Silofast 4 mg is approved to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It contains the active ingredient Silodosin, an alpha-adrenergic receptor blocker that remains one of the mainstays in treating male lower urinary tract symptoms and clinical BPH. BPH causes a man’s prostate to enlarge, leading to urinary problems such as difficulty passing urine and needing to visit the toilet frequently or urgently. This can also slow down the urine flow.
