Rivamer 1.5 mg capsule is prescribed to treat mild to moderately severe Alzheimer’s dementia or dementia due to Parkinson’s disease. This progressive health condition gradually affects the memory and thinking of a person. This medicine can improve memory, awareness and treat other symptoms of dementia. Rivamer is a neurodegenerative disease drug that belongs to a group of medicines known as cholinesterase inhibitors.
Alzheimer's disease or dementia is a neurological disorder that affects thinking, learning, communicating, and managing daily activities. Also known as Parkinson's disease, this condition is a central nervous system disorder that causes shaking, stiffness, and difficulty walking and making balance and coordination with the surrounding things.
Alzheimer’s dementia or dementia due to Parkinson’s disease is often caused due to the death of certain nerve cells or disconnection of these nerve cells from other body parts. This condition is caused by low levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, a substance that allows nerve cells to communicate and improve the transmission of nerve signals. Rivastigmine available in the Rivamer capsule raises a chemical called acetylcholine in the brain to improve memory, attention, and learning capacity. This substance can reduce the symptoms of dementia and treat the condition of impairment in thinking and memory.
If you are allergic to rivastigmine or any of its substances, consult your doctor for help. It is advised to avoid alcohol consumption during medication, as it can increase dizziness and drowsiness. Avoid driving immediately after taking the Rivamer capsule. It is not entirely safe to take during breastfeeding, and drug may pass into the breastmilk, so women are advised to consult a doctor as a precautionary measure.
The usual side effects of Rivamer medicine include:
