Rivaflo 10 mg contains Rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant medication used to treat and prevent blood clots. It is commonly prescribed to patients with irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation) to prevent clot formation. Rivaroxaban also reduces the risk of developing clots just after a hip surgery. Your doctor may also prescribe Rivaflo tablets to treat and prevent clot formation in the veins of your lungs, legs, heart, and brain.
Rivaflo 10 mg should be consumed daily at the same time. Take the tablet whole tablet, do not break or chew it. Swallow the tablet with a glass full of water. Your doctor will prescribe the dose that is most suitable for you. Do not miss a dose even if you have no symptoms to get maximum results and treat your symptoms effectively. It may take time to notice an improvement in the symptoms. Keep on taking medicine unless advised by your doctor. Let your doctor know if your condition does not improve or if they get worse. Take the anticoagulant medicine in dose and duration advised by your doctor.
Rivaroxaban can also affect or be affected by other drugs, so it is important to let your doctor know of all other medicines. Also, inform him if you consume alcohol. Avoid the use entirely if you have allergies or are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor if you have a heart blockage or severe bleeding disorder.
Rivaflo 10 mg can cause bleeding in some patients. Individuals using Rivaroxaban may develop bleeding in the eyes, gums, nose, stomach, rectum, or vagina. Call your doctor immediately if you develop any severe symptoms. Discontinue treatment and approach your doctor if you are currently bleeding or taking other medicine to stop bleeding.
