Pletoz 50 mg treats certain types of kidney stones and gout. It also decreases uric acid levels in people taking cancer treatment. Cilostazol is the main active ingredient present in each Pletoz 100 mg Tablet. Cilostazol is considered an anti-platelet and a vasodilator type of medication. It is used in the alleviation of the symptom of intermittent claudication in individuals with peripheral vascular disease.
The dose will be decided according to the patient’s condition. Therefore, taking this medication as per your doctor’s direction is advised. Pletoz is available in the form of a tablet to be taken orally by mouth with an ample amount of water. It is advised to take this medicine as prescribed by the doctor. Do not take a double dose at one time. If you miss one or more doses, take the next dose on time.
   — Pletoz 50 should not be used in patients allergic to the active ingredient or another component present in this formulation.
   — This drug should not be given to a pregnant woman
   — Breastfeeding mothers must not take this drug because it may harm the unborn child as it tends to pass through the breast milk
   — Do not use this medicine if you have a congestive heart failure
   — Do not take this medicine if you have a bleeding problem or a disorder
   — Diabetic patients are advised to use this medication only after the doctor’s consultation.
   — You must consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have ever had a stomach or intestinal ulcer.
   — If you have a low blood pressure problem, you should consult your doctor before taking this medication.
   — If you have a history of gastrointestinal diseases or an ulcer problem, then before taking this medication, let your doctor know.
   — Patients who recently had congestive heart failure should consult their doctor before taking this medication.
   — Patients with any liver disorder should consult their doctor before taking this medication.
   — Patients who have recently had surgery, including dental surgery, must consult their doctor regarding this medicine and then start this medication.
   — Patients should avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine.
   — This drug may be more sensitive to older people, so use it with caution in older adults.
Common side effects of Pletoz 50 are runny nose, fast heartbeat, heart pounding, sore throat, abdominal pain, indigestion, chest pain, headache, diarrhoea, abnormal stools, itchy skin, patchy bleeding in the skin, excessive burping, feeling or being sick, swelling of ankles, feet or nails. You should tell your doctor immediately if these side effects become bothersome or persist for longer. You may also develop other side effects not listed in this information guide.Â
