Panlipase Lipase 10000 Unit protease 37500 Unit Amylase 33200 Unit is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of people who can't digest food normally because their pancreas can't make enough enzymes due to:
- Cystic fibrosis
- Swelling of the pancreas that lasts a long time (chronic pancreatitis)
- Removal of some or all the pancreas
- Or other conditions.
Panlipase may help your body use fats, proteins, and sugars from food. It contains a mixture of digestive enzymes from the pig pancreas, including proteases, lipases, and amylases. Â
Take Panlipase exactly as your doctor tells you. Read the prescription carefully. If you have any questions, talk to your doctor. Swallow the capsule with a glass full of water. Do not chew or crush the capsule or keep it in your mouth. Doing so may irritate the mouth and change the way this medication works. If swallowing is difficult, you can open the contents mixed in a small amount of liquid or soft food you need not chew. Do not mix the capsule's contents with foods or liquids such as milk, ice cream, tea, etc.
Talk to your doctor for more information about what food and liquids to avoid when mixing. Swallow the food or liquid, making sure not to chew the medicine. Drink water or juice after swallowing the food to ensure all the medication is swallowed. Do not save the mixture for later use. Drink plenty of fluids while taking medicine unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Before taking Panlipase, tell your doctor about all the medical conditions, including:

 — If you are allergic to pork products
 — Have kidney disease, high blood uric acid, or gout
 — Have any other medical conditions
 — Have a history of blockage of your intestines or scarring or thickening of your bowel wall
 — Are you pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if the medicine will harm your unborn baby.
 — Are breastfeeding. It is still not known if Panlipase passes into breast milk.

The most common side effects of Panlipase Lipase 10000 Unit Protease 37500 Unit Amylase 33200 Unit include headache, stomach pain, gassiness, and dizziness. This medicine may also cause serious side effects, including:

 — Panlipase may increase your chance of having a rare bowel disorder called fibrosing colonopathy.
 — Increase uric acid levels in your blood, for example, worsening of gout or painful joints. Speak to your doctor right away if you develop any of these symptoms.
 — Allergic reactions. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include skin rashes, breathing problems, or swollen lips.
