Fertigy HP 2000 is an injectable drug containing Human chorionic gonadotropin, also known as the hormone of pregnancy, which plays a crucial role in human reproduction. It is obtained from the placental cells of pregnant women and helps in establishing and maintaining pregnancy. In addition to that, HCG has been used in assisted reproduction methods by mimicking LH or luteinizing hormone to induce oocyte maturation and ovulation. The medicine should be given to women who have undergone menopause but cannot conceive due to hormonal imbalances in the body. HCG shots are equally effective at treating male infertility due to lack of testosterone (hormone specific for male reproduction). Urologists may also prescribe an HCG injection for treating the condition in male children where one or both the testicles is not descended into the scrotal sac.
Fertigyn is directly injected into a muscle. You should not receive the shot if you are allergic to it. Also, avoid using it if you are pregnant, have early puberty or have hormone-related cancer.
