US Brand Name Zofran
Strength 4mg
Generic Name Ondansetron

Emeset 4mg contains an active ingredient called Ondansetron, which belongs to the anti-emetics group. Ondansetron is one of the most common medicines for treating nausea and vomiting. Emeset 4mg tablet helps to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in adults and children or radiotherapy for cancer in adults only. It can also be prescribed for the prevention of nausea and vomiting after surgery. This medicine does not relieve other adverse effects associated with cancer treatments. Ondansetron has little effect on vomiting caused by motion sickness. Treatments such as general anesthesia, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy are believed to cause the release of serotonin, a natural substance that causes nauseating feelings and ultimately makes you vomit.
