Duonase Nasal Spray 140 mcg 50 mcg (70 doses) is used to control symptoms of asthma, allergies of nose, throat or chest that cause symptoms of stuffy, runny or itchy nose, sneezing and watery, itchy or red eyes, skin problems like an itchy rash (eczema), redness and itchiness (psoriasis), inflammation (dermatitis), prickly heat or insect bites in adults or dermatitis in children. Azelastine Hcl and Fluticasone Propionate  is the main active ingredient present in Duonase – 140 mcg + 50 mcg ml Nasal Spray. Azelastine HCL is an anti-allergic drug given in allergic conditions like an itchy, red or stuffy nose. Fluticasone Propionate is a synthetic corticosteroid given in the condition called inflammation. This medication is available in the form of an ophthalmic solution or the form of Nasal Sprays. Azelastine HCL and Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Sprays relieve the symptoms by inhibiting the histamine action in the body.
Duonase is available in a Nasal Spray; this medication should be taken through the nose. Before applying this medicament shake the bottle, close one nostril by pressing it with your finger, keep the bottle upright, carefully insert the nasal applicator into the open nostril. Press down firmly on the pump to deliver the prescribed number of sprays while gently breathing in through the nose. It is advised to read the leaflet that comes with this medicine carefully and follow your doctor’s instructions while using this drug.
Duonase inhalers should not be used in patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or other components present in this formulation. It should not be given to a pregnant woman or to those who are planning to get pregnant soon. This drug should not be given to a breastfeeding mother because this drug may pass through the breast milk and harm the unborn child. The combination inhaler drug should not be used by children who are less than 3 years of age. Azelastine HCL and Fluticasone Propionate cannot be consumed by patients who are allergic to the medicine and its ingredients. Patients who are having severe asthma problems must tell their doctor before taking this medicament. If the patients have a problem of slow heart rate, then let your doctor know about this before taking this medicament. It should be avoided by those patients who are having any severe kidney problems. Patients who recently had congestive heart failure should consult their doctor before taking this medicament. Patients with a weak immune system or a Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) must inform their doctor regarding this problem before taking this medicament. Cancer patients should avoid taking this medicament; also consult your doctor regarding the same. Patients who have an imbalance of acid base balance in your body, then in this condition, let your doctor know about your medical condition to avoid any harmful effect.
Commonly reported associated with the use of Duonase nasal spray include diarrhea, runny nose, body ache, stuffy nose, vomiting, nausea, chill, fever, pale yellow skin, easy bleeding and bruising, uneven heartbeats, and redness of your skin.
