Ciplox TZ 500mg 600 mg is a prescription treatment for a wide range of infections caused by susceptible organisms. It is effective in treating gynaecological infections, teeth, lung, abdominal, and urine infections. Each tablet contains two active ingredients-Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride 500 mg and tinidazole that helps in the prevention of infection, which may happen after surgery and operation. The drug is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age.
Ciplox TZ is available in the form of tablets for oral administration. Your doctor may ask you to take the tablet an hour before or two hours after meals with a glass of water. One tablet twice daily is recommended for adults for 5 to 10 days, depending on severity and response to the treatment. The medicine is not recommended for children. Ciplox TZ 500 mg 600 mg active ingredient. The duration of the treatment depends on the type and severity of the infection. For most infections, the antibacterial therapy continued for at least 48 hours after the patient became symptomatic. The usual duration of this antibacterial therapy is 1 to 2 weeks, but severe infections may require more prolonged treatment. If you take more of this combination medicine, you should immediately contact your doctor in case of an overdose. Symptoms of an overdose include headache, hallucinations, tremors, seizures, tiredness, and dizziness.
The use of Ciplox TZ is contraindicated in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, any member of the quinolone class of antibacterial, or any other components of the medicine. Concomitant use with Tizanidine is contraindicated. There are reports of urticaria to Stevens-John syndrome in patients with a previous history of hypersensitivity to either ciprofloxacin or tinidazole. The antibiotic drug should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy. In nursing mothers, interruption of breastfeeding is recommended during this antibiotic therapy and for three days following the last dose.
Ciprofloxacin has been associated with potentially irreversible side effects. Commonly seen side effects include tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, arthralgia, tendinitis, myalgia and central nervous system effects. The combination drug may make you feel less alert. Some neurological side effects can occur. Therefore, you should know how you react to this combination drug before driving a vehicle or operating machinery. If in doubt, please speak to your doctor.
Ciplox TZ 500 mg 600 mg may lead to side effects such as stomach pain, vomiting, headache, loss of appetite, stomach pain, etc. Most of these side effects are mild and resolves within a few days after initiating the treatment. It is advised to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water during the treatment. If any of the side effects worsen, contact your doctor immediately. If you develop an allergic reaction such as itching, rashes, swelling, shortness of breath, etc., you must consult your doctor immediately. Â
