Candid B Lotion 30 ml is a topical prescription medication applied on the skin to treat fungal infections, when redness and itchiness may also be a problem. It combines clotrimazole, the synthetic anti-fungal agent used to treat some fungal infections of the skin. The second active ingredient of the medicine is betamethasone, a corticosteroid used topically to reduce the redness and itchiness caused by certain skin diseases. Together, they treat fungal infections of the feet, groin, and body, as diagnosed by your doctor. Speak to your doctor if you do not have these symptoms of fungal infections. Notify your doctor straight away if you develop side effects associated with the use of Candid B. The product is not recommended for use in patients under the age of 17 years. It should not be used for use in diaper rash.
Candid B 30 ml is used as an anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory drug for external use in lotion. Gently massage sufficient Candid B lotion into the affected and surrounded skin area twice daily, as recommended by your doctor. Usually, treatment for two weeks on the groin or the body and four weeks on the feet is recommended. The use of this combination of anti-fungal medicine for longer than four weeks is not recommended for any condition. Prolonged treatment is often associated with unwanted effects. Clotrimazole and betamethasone should only be used for the condition for which it was prescribed. Do not cover the treatment area with a bandage or wrap it with clothing. Other corticosteroids containing topical or oral medications should not be used with Candid B without first speaking to your doctor. Any signs and symptoms associated with the use of this anti-fungal drug should be reported to your doctor. When using lotion in the groin area, it is especially important to apply it for two weeks and sparingly. You should inform your doctor right away if the problem persists for longer than two weeks. Wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid tightly covering the area where you have applied the medicinal product.
Candid B lotion 30 ml is not recommended for use in patients under the age of 17 years. Individuals sensitive to clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate, imidazoles, or other corticosteroids should not use Candid B lotion.
Do not use the lotion if you are allergic to clotrimazole, betamethasone, or any other medicine ingredients. You should use this topical formulation for the full prescribed period, even though the symptoms may have improved.
Clotrimazole application on the skin included redness, itching, stinging, swelling, blisters, peeling, burning, itching, eruptions, and general skin irritation. The anti-fungal agent may cause sensitization of the skin in patients with sensitive skin. Reported side effects from betamethasone include allergic skin reactions such as rash and dermatitis. The most common of these corticosteroid drugs include steroid-induced rosacea, erythema, itching, mild burning, irritation, and skin dryness.
