Cabgolin 0.25 mg is a prescription medicine for patients with hyperprolactinaemic disorders. It contains the active ingredient Cabergoline, which is categorized under the class of drugs known as prolactin inhibitors. This medicine helps prevent breast milk production by decreasing the prolactin hormone in women’s bodies in cases of abortion, miscarriage or stillbirth. Cabergoline is also effective at treating and reducing abnormal quantities of prolactin in the blood. Â
Always take Cabgolin 0.25 mg exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor if you have any doubts about using this medicine. The medicine is available in tablets to reduce certain side effects such as vomiting, nausea, and stomach pain. Take the tablet to reduce side effects such as vomiting, nausea, and stomach pain. Your doctor will determine the dose for you. Follow your doctor’s advice. Â
The recommended dose is 0.25 mg every twelve hours for two days to stop milk production. Â
The recommended dose for reducing prolactin levels in other conditions is two 0.25 mg. The medicine should be used cautiously in patients with renal or hepatic impairment. It is not recommended in patients under 16 years of age. Â
Do not take Cabgolin 0.25 mg if you are allergic to Cabergoline or any other ingredients in the medicine. Avoid taking it if you have psychosis or are at risk of developing psychosis after delivery. Cabergoline is contraindicated if you have been diagnosed with problems affecting the lungs, back of the abdomen, kidneys, or heart. Â

 — Impaired kidney or liver function
 — History of serious mental disorders, particularly psychotic disorders
 — Cardiovascular disorders
 — Stomach ulcer or bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract
 — High blood pressure after childbirth
 — Low blood pressure
 — Swelling of hands/feet and high blood pressure during pregnancy
 — Serious chest complaints include pain in the chest when breathing, inflammation of the lungs, fluid in the lungs, etc.
 — Fibrotic reactions affect your lungs, heart, or abdomen.

Tell your doctor if you are developing urges or cravings to behave in a way unusual for you and if you can’t resist the drive, temptation, and impulse to carry out certain activities that could harm yourself or your loved ones. These are known as control disorders and can include behaviours such as addictive gambling, excessive eating, abnormally high sex drive, or an increase in sexual thoughts and feelings. Your doctor will need to adjust the dose or stop the treatment.

Infertility can be treated in women taking Cabgolin, and pregnancy can occur before the menstrual cycle occurs normally. Therefore, it is important to have a pregnancy test at least four weeks before menses are restarted. Appropriate contraceptive measures should therefore be used during treatment with Cabergoline and after stopping the treatment until recurrence of anovulation. Â
During treatment with Cabgolin, you may notice nausea, headache, inflammation of the stomach, dizziness, lack of bodily strength, fatigue, constipation, excessive daytime drowsiness, breast pain, and low blood pressure after delivery which may not have any symptoms, hot flushes, chest pain, facial redness, vomiting, and low blood pressure.Â
