Naturogest 200 mg contains the female hormone called progesterone. It is used to treat secondary amenorrhea due to a decrease in progesterone. When your body does not produce enough progesterone, menstrual irregularities may occur. If your doctor has determined your body is not making enough progesterone on its own. Naturogest 200 mg capsules may be prescribed to provide the progesterone your body requires.

To protect the endometrium (lining of the uterus)

Naturogest is used along with estrogen-containing medications in a postmenopausal woman with a womb. Taking estrogen alone makes you more prone to endometrial hyperplasia, which causes cancer of the lining of the uterus. Progestin therapy is generally prescribed for women with a uterus to reduce the chance of developing uterus cancer.

To prevent endometrial hyperplasia- A postmenopausal woman with a uterus who is taking estrogen should take a single dose of 200mg Naturogest capsules at bedtime for twelve successive days per menstrual cycle.

For treatment of secondary amenorrhea- Two Naturogest 200mg capsules at bedtime for ten days.

Progesterone capsules should be taken at bedtime as some women become very drowsy or dizzy after taking the capsule. Some symptoms may include difficulty walking, speaking, blurred vision, and feeling abnormal. If you develop any of these symptoms, discuss them with your doctor right away. If you find a problem swallowing Naturogest capsules, it is recommended that you take them daily at bedtime with a glass of water while standing. Follow your doctor’s advice. The dosing regimen given here may differ from the one your doctor may have prescribed.

Do not start taking Naturogest capsules if any of the following applies to you are:

  • Allergic to peanuts
  • Allergic to Progesterone capsules or any of their ingredients
  • Currently have or have had liver problems
  • Currently have or have had blood clots
  • Had a stroke or heart attack

  • If you are breastfeeding- Progesterone can pass into your breast milk.
  • About all the medical conditions you have- Your doctor needs to check you for conditions such as epilepsy, endometriosis, migraine, diabetes, lupus, thyroid problems, liver problems, kidney issues, and problems with your heart, diabetes, migraine, endometriosis.
